Howdy As SoCal shakes in it's Italian Boots at the mere chance of mist, I sit here and wonder how easy we have it. Due to certain events of the last couple of weeks, somehow seeing news anchors buckle and set out against a yearly occurence, seems a tad bit trivial. I guess it fits us nicely. Just like those boots. But not to sit and gripe on this wonderful night, here's something for you to buckle! the itsy bitsy spider!

Everyday People: No, it's not the Arrested Development song, but a film about a restaurant set to close in Crooklyn, and the effects it has on its employees and patrons. Scoff all you want, but think how awful it would had Monk's (Tom's) suffered a similar fate on Seinfeld. Remember what happened to Popi? Damn Straight.

Lil' Pimp: That's what they used to call me when I was a wee lad. Not so much anymore. This lil' toon has had about much controversy as that other lil' pimp, Jesus, from the Pa$$ion. Picketed and hated by conservatives, or you know, mothers, Lil' Pimp tells the story about a boy who could. Idolize him for all he is. Featuring the voice talents of Ludacris, Bernie Mac and Carmen Electra.

Silver City: Director John Sayles slays his political side with this satire who's character is remarkably similar to Time's Man of the Year (let's just say it rhymes with "Mubya" hmm...). The underrated Chris Cooper stars as this bumbling politician out on his campaign when a floating body arises during the shooting of one his commercials. From there on, curiosities like lies, corruption and cover-ups are sprung abound. Featuring a plethora of good talent, don't let your November dissapointment slow you down.

Without a Paddle: Without an audience. The Village: What is it that lurks in the forbidden woods? Is it grotesque monsters, children or visible boom mics? My votes on the third, but you never know! M. Knight Shyamalamadingdong's follow up to Signs, stars marred-lipped Joaquin Phoenix, Adrien Brody, and Richie Cunningham's daughter. I was hoping Bruce Willis would make a cameo in this, but he was too busy doing good projects. Oh well.
